University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC)

Assets, by definition, are the backbone of any organization. Their efficient use will increase profitability and promote growth. Due to asset diversity, their purpose, portability, size, and cost, accounting for these assets is typically one of the most misunderstood and complicated processes, especially for such a large entity.

AdvanTech, Inc. (ATI), a small business headquartered in Annapolis, MD, ) is pleased to submit this Proposal to the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) regarding this RFQ/RFP (both terms were used in the issued documents) for a new off-premise, fully hosted, cloud/web-based SaaS EAMS to replace KUMC’s existing IBM Maximo version 7.6 EAMS.  All of ATI’s AVA software is based on our three guiding principles: Accuracy, Visibility, and Accountability. It was designed to be integrated into an organization’s operations, rather than having the operations change to fit the system.

This document will demonstrate that we understand what you are looking for and that we believe we are capable of being the sole provider of these desired services, completing the project on time and exceeding expectations. We will describe our full-level integration firearms, fixed and moveable assets, evidence, certifications, etc., and use of multiple RFID technologies instead of or in conjunction with barcoding.

Our AVA™ Enterprise Manager Suite was designed to leverage the benefits of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Our experience and past documented results have shown substantial improvements in inventory accuracy and reduced data errors. There are several references to RFID usage in the document, however barcode technology can be used in its place.

Our staff consists of Program, Logistics, Information Technology and Asset Managers who have proven track records of providing solutions to organizations in Operations, Inventory Logistics and Supply Chain within the healthcare, government, law enforcement, and education segments. Our prior projects included Asset and Inventory Management, Facilities Design and Construction, Warehouse Management, Property Book Management, Data Warehousing, as well as developing and designing customized Inventory Control and Asset Management Applications.

We would be pleased to answer any questions you might have regarding this document. We are prepared to provide a demonstration after initial proposals have been reviewed, as we believe The University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) will benefit greatly from our AVA™ Suite.

We look forward to an opportunity to provide our proven capabilities and thank you in advance consideration of our proposal.
